2. EVE cannot start under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS x64 - in Linux [original thread]
My only problem with the native launcher is it leaves nothing useful in console. There's a Start LogLite option in the launcher menu. Use it before launching the client and work from there. Most likely you lack some libraries.

Search for libldap and it's 32-bit counterpart, whatever they are called in your system.

5. Linux Laptop Overheating when run EVE - in Linux [original thread]
I kinda have experience with similar issues. Not with eve though. I had problems with some more demanding games that would slow down to a crawl after about 10 minutes of play (DOS:EE for example). After some tinkering around I narrowed it down t...

6. Linux Launcher starts/updates but EvE client wont. - in Linux [original thread]
Well, dunno about libpng12 (i have separate libpng and libpng12 installed, both regular and lib32) but libldap seems to be missing too, and it's a common reason for the client not to work. Probably need libldap and/or it's 32bit version.

I think this post should be relevant to your further troubleshooting attempts https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6625125#post6625125 In short, there's nothing useful in the regular console output, you need to peek into logl...

11. EVE Launcher for Linux - in Linux [original thread]
In light of exefilie expiring, how do we troubleshoot eve? The good thing about exefile is you can see all the wine whine in console. With the launcher, it's all silent and spooky and no error messages. You just press a button, it turns green the...
